Dr. Francesca Wilkins, M.D.

Dr. Francesca Wilkins was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, where she cultivated an early and enduring passion for science and medicine.

Dr. Wilkins received her foundational education within the Coahoma County public school system. She achieved the distinction of Salutatorian upon graduation from the former Coahoma Agricultural High School in Clarksdale, Mississippi. With an unwavering commitment to her aspiration of becoming a physician, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Tougaloo College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her medical education was completed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi.

Subsequently, Dr. Wilkins undertook an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Following her residency, she practiced as a primary care physician in community health. Driven by a particular interest in endocrine disorders, she pursued further specialization, completing a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Following positions at prominent regional health systems in Arkansas and South Carolina as an Endocrinologist, Dr. Wilkins elected to establish her private practice in her home state of Mississippi.

She currently provides comprehensive endocrinology care at The Endocrine Diabetes & Thyroid Center in Southaven, Mississippi, where she serves as Founder, CEO, and Chief Medical Officer.

Her leisure activities include reading, walking, and listening to jazz.
Dr. Francesca Wilkins is dedicated to employing the most current evidence-based medical practices and scientific advancements to facilitate optimal health outcomes for her patients.
